Description

She’s a small woman, rather young and delicate looking with mismatched eyes and auburn hair. Her right eye is a dark amber hue, but the iris of her left eye resembles a fractured ruby. There’s a thin but stark scar which arcs from the corner of the eye out towards her temple and down across the top of her cheek. A single band of all-white hair, maybe an inch wide, sweeps to the right from her frontal hairline, lying off-center from her natural part.

She’s olive complected, but oddly radiant, as if there’s a layer of sunlight trapped just beneath her skin. Her smile, albeit genuine, doesn’t quite reach her eyes. She bears a minute, jagged scar on the left corner of her mouth which almost imperceptibly pulls that side down.

Dangling from a truesilver chain around her neck, rests a dark green cabochon, shattered within its depths very much like the iris of her own left eye. On her right wrist she wears a single cuff of hammered bronze. On the bracelet, flanked by two bright emeralds of modest size, is a bronze sparrow in relief. To match the cuff, an ornate bronze hair clip studded with emeralds gathers her hairband and holds it in place. On her other wrist, she wears a thin bracelet of living vines that have been plaited together.

Suni wears a single ring, on her left ring finger. It’s crafted from twisted bands of titanium and elementium with two gems set in the top, one a forest emerald and the other a primordial ruby.

Milestones

Where are We Going from Here (Blackmore’s Night)

On a long road, miles to go,
It’s winding and cold and it’s covered with snow.
But I ask you what we all want to know:
Where are we going from here…?

Lines on my face, lines on my hands,
Lead to a future I don’t understand,
Some things don’t go as they’re planned…
Where are we going from here…?

Tracing the trails through the mirrors of time,
Spinning in circles with riddles in rhyme.
We lose our way, trying to find,
Searching to find our way home…
Trying to find our way home…

As the day dies, with tears in our eyes,
There’s too few hellos and too many goodbyes.
Silence answers our cries…where are we going from here…?

We’re all on this road, with miles to go,
Braving new pathways into the unknown.
But who do you ask, when no one really knows?
Where we are going from here…?

The following represents Suni in the wake of losing her first husband, the first man she believed — beyond a shadow of a doubt — ever truly loved and understood her. It took Vith a long time, but he proved to her he was, in all ways, her equal. This isn’t something the average stranger will know, though some have sensed it over time, in getting to know her.

My Heart is Broken (Evanescence)

I will wander ’til the end of time,
torn away from you.

I pulled away to face the pain.
I close my eyes and drift away.
Over the fear that I will never find
a way to heal my soul.
And I will wander ’til the end of time
torn away from you.

My heart is broken
Sweet sleep, my dark angel.
Deliver us from sorrow’s hold
(over my heart).

I can’t go on living this way.
But I can’t go back the way I came.
Chained to this fear that I will never find a way
to heal my soul.
And I will wander ’til the end of time
half alive without you.

My heart is broken,
Sweet sleep, my dark angel,
deliver us.

Change – Open your eyes to the light.
I denied it all so long, oh so long.
Say good bye, good bye.

My heart is broken,
Release me, I can’t hold on,
Deliver us.
My heart is broken,
sweet sleep, my dark angel,
Deliver us.
My heart is broken.
Sweet sleep, my dark angel,
Deliver us from sorrow’s hold.
